Our teaching staff, all of whom are certified and have years of practical experience, are dedicated to giving our students the most enjoyable music classes.
Our Music instructors teach students based on what their needs may be and what styles of music they would like to pursue. Our teachers over the years have graduated from the finest music colleges and universities around the country and the world and, in addition, have performed on the biggest stages in and around the United States.
Frank Rudolph
Owner | Guitar, Bass, Piano

Frank has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education as well as a performance degree in modern jazz guitar from Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. Specific studies include jazz composition, classical guitar, theory, jazz harmony, and big band arranging. In addition to performing in and out of the tri-state area and teaching music privately in Boston and New York, Frank started the Orange County School of Music in 1990 with a staff of three and since expanded and changed the name to the New York School of Music and Fine Arts, which employs over thirty teachers who specialize in music, art, and theater. Most recently, Frank has opened Main Street Music Studio in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Mr. Rudolph has a wide range of teaching styles and has shared that knowledge with countless students for the past thirty years. Thousands of students have passed through Frank′s vision of music and art education and Frank and his staff look forward to teaching thousands more.
Kate Anderson
Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Improv

Originally from Huntersville, Pennsylvania, saxophonist Kate Anderson has performed throughout the United States, Latin America and Europe. She has toured multiple times to Cuba with the Latin Jazz Messengers and throughout Europe with the Royal Court Theatre Orchestra. Recently, Kate has recorded with New York rock band The Felice Brothers on the album Undress, where she was featured on their title track. She has also toured and recorded with Rick Hirsch’s Big Ol’ Band since 2017.
A veteran of many professional performances, she has appeared at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Strathmore Music Center, Alice Tully Hall, Heinz Hall, F.M. Kirby Center and the Santiago de Cuba Jazz Festival.
Kate has performed with jazz luminaries Randy Brecker, Phil Woods, Slide Hampton, Delfayo Marsalis, Marquis Hill and Antonio Hart. Aside from individual luminaries, she has been performing with the Scranton Jazz Festival Big Band since 2018, which was recently nominated for an Emmy Award in the TV production of the “Swingin’ Jazz Nutcracker Suite”. She has expanded to other genres in performances with country singer-songwriter Morgan Myles, R&B and gospel vocalist Barbara Walker, and legendary producer of The Band, John Simon.
In addition to jazz, Kate is an accomplished classical saxophonist. She has studied and performed with leading artists Eugene Rousseau, David Stambler, Christopher Creviston, Frederick Hemke and The Capitol Quartet. She performed countless recitals as a soloist and part of small ensembles in this genre. In her graduate studies at Northern Illinois University, Kate was the first saxophonist to win the Concerto Competition in her performance of Ingolf Dahl’s “Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Orchestra.”
In conjunction with performing, Kate is a dedicated music educator serving on the faculty of the New City School of Music in New York. She earned her Bachelor of Music Performance degree at Penn State University and her Master of Jazz Studies degree at Northern Illinois University.
Sandy Brandman
Violin, Viola

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Music & Arts. She has worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City as a music copyist, editor and librarian for various music publishers including Boosey & Hawkes and G. Schirmer. She actively plays viola and violin in several local orchestras and ensembles including Rockland Symphony, Cortland Chamber Ensemble, Northern Westchester Symphony, and SUNY-Orange Orchestra. In addition, she has performed with Newburgh Symphony and the Family Opera of New Jersey. For nearly 20 years Sandy has been a regular chorus member and librarian with the Hudson Opera Theater.
